I look for websites or pages that are:
of real benefit of people traveling to Maya lands or
doing something of benefit to people or the culture there or
of value to people with interests in primarily Maya topics.
If it is a hotel, I have begun giving preference to ones that are not only reasonably priced, but also include a bulk water jug
for guests instead of making them add to the mass of non-recycled bottles into the local trash. If you recommend a hotel,
make sure you mention whether water from a dispenser is available to guests, whether for free or at a reasonable price.
